Thank you Caroline! Agree that to sit still and listen to the wind, trees, birdsong and mammal convos gives you the real inside scoop to living in the borderlands! At our home in the Huachuca Mountains the birdsong can get so loud that I have to go inside: )
Sound recordings like this intrigue me. I am a big fan of Alan Lomax, Art Satherley, and Don Law and their famous field/hotel recordings that gave us the delight of Leadbelly and Robert Johnson before they faded into time.
As well as the horrible damage to human beings - both immigrants and probably residents near the border - what this military buildup will do to nature and wildlife and the environment is just wrong - altho far too many of the current politicians seem to have absolutely no concept or interest in that.
