Mr. Miller! Thanks so much again for coming to our event. You spoke with conviction and poise, and I greatly enjoyed your remarks. Your take-aways from the Chamorro-Bolton debate are exactly why I’ve felt so fulfilled taking part in the steering committee this year. Keep up the great work!

One of your best and most heartfelt pieces, I'd say. LIke Pamela in her comment, I agree that orientation by those most affected is the right one. The issue has become the hugest (?) in this electoral season, which makes popular (democratic) reflection on hard, soft, or open borders more rare. It's more often just unreflective gut-reaction. Thanks for providing space for thinking about it, instead.

Thank you for this, Todd. I will return to it when I feel disoriented and in the throes of impostor syndrome, which is quite often.

Beauty to start the day. I often find myself in the exact simile situations defending ideas. And your direction to be oriented by those most affected is powerful. And not to be concerned about disorientation nor inadequacy, but to keep finding our way, to keep acting.
