I Was a Performer In the "Spectacle" of Border Enforcement: A Podcast Interview with Police Expert Eric Gamino

Escucha ahora (35 min) | The former South Texas police officer talks about working a “surge” on the Texas-Mexico border, and playing a role in “border theater.”
Wow. Just how many "surges" or "operations" have there been in the last few decades? And why is Galveston County STILL in Kinney County? Do the Galveston taxpayers know they're paying for their officers and vehicles to be here for the last untold number of months? Or is the money coming from state taxpayers through Operation Lone Star? What about Operation Stonegarden? I'd really like to see a roundup of all these border enforcement programs and a tally of what they've cost over, say, the last 30 years. And how effective they've been in reducing immigration (but I think we know the answer to that one). Thanks for this interview.
