I have just come across 'The Border Chronicle' and I'm very happy that I did, because I've been wanting to ask informed progressives about their position on the border issue. Can you point me to anything you've written that says what we should do about the border, and illegal immigration? Conservatives want to stop it completely, but what is your position? Thank you.

I am citing the UK Press because I live in the UK. And I know that from visiting Utah, Arizona and Wyoming that what appears in our UK Press is very different to reality in the US. Anyway you did not answer my points about US Cities being swamped with Immigrants, or Biden`s Child Trafficking Network.

In the UK , the Press and Internet are saying the Biden`s Feds are Busing Immigrants to

Cities all over America. New York is putting them up in Hotels all over the City and it is putting a gigantic Dent in the City Budget. Biden is Bankrupting Civic America. Congressmen have also highlighted Bidens Trafficking of "Unaccompanied Minors", over the Border to Unverified "Sponsers" all over the US.

And why are you citing UK press exactly? Also, we appreciate different views but read the piece first and base it on the text you're reading.

I voted for Biden in 2020. In 2024, I will not vote. Biden has spent billions helping Israel and Ukraine defend their borders, but he steadfastly refuses to defend the one he swore an oath to protect. His own.

Hey Dave, out of curiosity, do you read our pieces? We have reported over and over again that in 2023 Biden was operating the largest border and immigration enforcement budget ever ($29.8 billion, combined CBP and ICE). I get that you have a point you want to make--and that's totally fine--but there's way too many border discussions based on hot-air narratives that have no factual basis, and we're hoping to get beyond that here.

Todd: Yes I have.

Climate change will insure that the age of mass migration is over. People are going to have to take care of their local communities and flourish where they are born. We have to quit overpopulating and destroying our local environments and thinking we can just move somewhere else and start over.

Within the US, because we have a commitment to our own citizens, climate change will require massive internal migration as the Colorado River dries up and excessive heat makes Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas uninhabitable. They didn't name it Death Valley for nothing. The rest of the west will continue to burn and millions will have to move to survive. Much of south Florida and many populated areas along the Eastern and Gulf seaboards will be under water. The US will struggle to resettle millions of people in higher and cooler areas where fresh water is available.

We will simply be unable to deal with a large influx of immigrants and relocating our own citizens at the same time. The same holds true for most countries. No place will be willing to accept millions of immigrants.

The Senate refused to pass a border bill negotiated by one of the most conservative members of the Senate, because the orange guy wants to run using the border as a campaign issue. How is that Biden's fault?

Expand full comment

It is the fault of the Republicans and the Democrats as a whole, both of which are purposely inciting hatred and fear of brown skins and the Muslim faith. Shame on them all, including the so-called progressives such as AOC who back Biden's anti-migrant speech and actions.

This whole thing is interesting because the border bill is basically heavy enforcement (something like a whopping $15 billion to CBP and ICE), and no pathway to legalization or citizenship that is usually in such bipartisan bills. In other words, this is what the GOP wants, and it definitely isn't comprehensive immigration reform. I hear that Trump was so dead set against it because he wants to run against Biden on the border/immigration point. Theater yet again.

Also Ukraine and Israel are not border disputes. They are democracy disputes.

Well, that's kind of wimpy.

Errr... what? Biden is as racist as the MAGA crowd, purposely inciting hatred against desperate, poor people whose home countries are devastated by the USA's Wars on Drugs and Terror and imperialist exploitation.
